The emotional family drama has earned over Rs 79 crore in Tamil Nadu and is on the verge of crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. The film’s total domestic collection is close to Rs 115 crores, and Varisu earned nearly 35 crores from the overseas market to enter the 150 crore club in swag. The number of showings and screens for ‘Varisu’ have been increased compared to the opening day as the family audience have increaseing day by day, and the film has sold out in many theatres for the weekend.

On its fifth day, the family drama surpassed Rs 150 crores worldwide, bringing the film’s total worldwide collection to around Rs 151 crores. With this achievement, ‘Varisu’ becomes Vijay’s eighth film to surpass the 150-film mark.
